Principal’s Message

Enfield High School Students and Families,

It has been an exciting and productive September at EHS.  Our students have been busy learning their new schedules and getting to know their new teachers and coursework.   In addition to our usual beginning-of-the-year activities, we held our Rachel’s Challenge bullying-prevention assembly and student workshop on September 20th.  The Friends of Rachel Club students came up with some excellent ideas to promote kindness within our school and continue to improve our school climate.

Update on Conferences and Progress Reports

Enfield High School Students and Families,

We are off to a great start here at EHS! Our 2017 Homecoming Weekend was a huge success and we would like to thank all the students, parents, and faculty members who contributed to a fun-filled weekend!

I would like to provide an update on progress reports and parent-teacher conferences.  If you would like to view progress report grades and comments online, grades will be fully uploaded and finalized by Saturday, October 14th. Instructions on how to view progress reports in PowerSchool are available on our PowerSchool Help Desk webpage or by clicking on this link: How to Access IPR grades.docx Printed progress reports will be issued to all students during school on Monday, October 16th.  Students will be instructed to pick up their Progress Reports in their grade-level deans’ office during Eagle Block.   If students are looking to improve their grades prior to progress reports, they should see their teachers for extra help during Eagle Block.  Grades close for report cards on November 6th.

A mailing went home on Friday, October 13th with instructions on how to set up parent-teacher conferences using the online system.  Because of the high demand for conferences in the fall, we have eliminated the spring conferences this year and added an additional fall conference date.  Parent conferences will now be held on two evenings: Thursday, November 9th, and Thursday, November 30th from 6:00 p.m. until 8:30 p.m.

Please see the directions on our website  to schedule an appointment with your child’s teachers LINK: conference instructions 1718.doc.  Please note that you are only permitted to book each teacher once over the course of the two dates.   In order to make sure parents have sufficient time to travel to their next appointment, the system will not allow you to book “back-to-back” appointments. If a teacher’s schedule fills and you are unable to book an appointment, please email that teacher directly to schedule a phone conference.   Please note that you will have to register again, even if you have registered for conferences in prior years.

Appointments are available on a first come, first served basis.  Please register as soon as possible to increase the likelihood of securing a conference time.  Please contact Erin Clark at eclark@enfieldschools.org if you have any questions.

Thank you,

Erin Clark, Principal
