Enfield High School’s Parent Advisory is hosting a parent book club to consider the topic of social and emotional learning in our schools. This year we will be reading Dr. Marc Brackett’s book, “Permission to Feel: Unlocking the Power of Emotions to Help Our Kids, Ourselves, and Our Society Thrive.” The book highlights research on emotional intelligence and ways we can improve students’ skill in recognizing and regulating emotions. Our school leadership team is very interested in having parents participate in these discussions and work with us to identify ways to better support our students’ social and emotional development.

We are very pleased to announce that free copies of the book will be provided to the first 20 parents who come to our next Parent Advisory to be held on January 8th at 5pm in the EHS library.
