Job shadowing exposes students to the behind the scenes aspects of any given career. This one day experience allows students to take part in valuable career exploration. The Career Center offers group job shadowing in a field trip format or individual job shadowing on a case-by-case format for students with specific interests. Please see Ms. Barnett or Ms. Ceniglio and fill out the below Job Shadow Application (also found in the Career Center) to begin your real life career exploration.

Group Job Shadowing:
On March 9th twenty-five students can attend this job shadow field trip which provides students with insight into the following careers areas: sales, internal wholesaling, executive assistant, event coordinator, customer service, plan management, operations, management, training, finance, actuary, legal/compliance, human relations, business analysts, information technology, software developer, systems engineer, communications and marketing, project management, continuous improvement, and investment management.
This job shadow field trip will take 20 students to Microsoft in the Westfarms mall on March 31st to explore the behind-the-scene careers associated with marketing and developing Microsoft products.
NBC (West Hartford)
This field trip will be offered to a select 4 students to see the world of news broadcasting. April 4th.

Please come to the Career Center to express your interests. If there is not a group job shadowing experience being set up that will fill your needs then we will do our best to utilize our partnerships in order to provide you with an applicable shadowing experience.

University of Hartford - Forensics Class (For students interested in pursuing a career in forensics)
Asnuntuck Community College - Phlebotomy Class (For students interested in pursuing a career in Phlebotomy)
Meeting with local Probation Officers, Ride-Alongs with the Enfield Police Department (to explore careers in Law Enforcement)
Ride-Along with Enfield Animal Control (For students interested in working with animals)
