Students have the opportunity to write, film, perform, and produce news stories that will be reviewed for  possible scholarships.  In December 1998, Fox 61 began broadcasting Student News stories througout the broadcasting day.  News stories are aired 37 times each week on Fox 61 WTIC-TV and CW 20 WTXX-TV.  This provides a Student News reporters a statewide audience for the stories for their work.  Information is available about the program at www.fox61.com about the Student News program.

Enfield High began participating in the program in 2007.  Student entries for that year were finalists in their categories.  In 2008, EHS students Nick Zeni and Colleen Nelson were awarded scholarships for their piece on the Community Service Club at JFK.
