Dear EHS parents,

I hope all is well.  As you know, we have a strong parent community, and our school team values your input.  We see our parents as a resource in our ongoing efforts to improve our students’ learning experiences, our teachers’practice, and to build community within our school culture.  This year we are working with Dr. Hairston from CREC on a school-wide equity plan.    We will use this equity plan to address the following focus areas:racial equity, social justice, and cultural responsiveness.  Our purpose is to make sure that we are meeting the needs of ALL of our students.

We will be inviting parents, students, and staff to participate in a series of focus groups facilitated by Dr. Hairston.  The data/information collected will be analyzed among a small staff team from EHS and Dr. Hairston.  The data will be used to help us vet certain important characteristics of our school culture, teaching and learning, and how our school is experienced. Note that focus groups can have a maximum of 6-8 persons per group. Dates and time for the groups are listed below.

Focus groups are on a volunteer basis for any staff, student, or parent that is interested in participating. Students wishing to participate will be required to submit a parent permission slip.  If you are interested in participating, respond fill out the survey using the following link (it can also be found on the homepage of our school’s website).

If you have any questions, please contact Principal Clark at

Thank you,

Erin E.Clark
