Academic Awards

Academic Awards and Scholarship Night will be held on Wednesday, June 4, 2025 at 6:30 pm in the high school auditorium.  This event honors students who will receive department and subject awards from their teachers and administrators, and scholarships and awards from various schools and organizations.  All are cordially invited to attend. 


Senior Prom
 

The Prom will be held on Friday, May 23, 2025, at The Basketball Hall of Fame in Springfield, MA from 6:00PM - 10:00PM. TThis is a formal affair requiring appropriate dress.   

Tickets will be sold from Wednesday, May 7 - Wednesday, May 14 during lunch waves at the ticket booth near the auditorium. 

Permission Slips will be emailed to each senior and/or picked up in Ms. Reyes's office starting Friday, May 2. . 

All school rules governing social activities will be enforced.  Students must be in school the day of the event in order to attend. No smoking/vaping will be allowed.  Once you enter the building you must remain inside until you leave for the evening.  All students will be subject to a breathalyzer test (per Board of Education policy) prior to entry.Age limit for guests is 20 years old.  **ALCOHOL SCREENING WILL BE IN EFFECT UPON ENTERING 


Senior Class Picnic
: High Meadow
 

The Senior Class Picnic will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at High Meadow in North Granby, CT, from approximately 8:30 am to 1:45 pm.  This Senior Class activity includes games, food, and refreshments.  Casual picnic attire as well as personal swimsuits and towels will be needed.  Students must take provided bus transportation from EHS. 

The cost to attend the class picnic is $50 (Checks made payable to: Enfield High School) for each student who wishes to attend.  Money and permission slip will be available and collected by Mrs. Reyes in the 12th Grade Dean’s Office. Payment for this event will be collected beginning Friday, May 16. Money is due no later than Friday, May 23. 

 

Class Night Banquet 

The Class Night Banquet will be held on Friday, May 30, 2025, at Twin Hills in Longmeadow, MA from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm. Please submit your payment for this function to Mrs. Reyes.  The cost for class night is $65 (Checks made payable to: Enfield High School).  

The cost to attend this event is $65 (Checks made payable to: Enfield High School) for each student who wishes to attend.  Money and permission slip will be available and collected by Mrs. Reyes in the 12th Grade Office. Payment for this event will be collected beginning Friday, May 16. Money is due no later than Friday, May 23.

Class Dues 

Class dues cover the cost of your Cap and Gown.  This year’s cost is $32.  All seniors participating in the graduation ceremony must pay this fee.

Yearbook Distribution 

If all deadlines are met, we plan to distribute the yearbooks at the Class Night Banquet on Friday, May 30, 2025. ACCOUNTABILITY SLIPS 

Accountability slips are issued only to students who have lost or damaged iPads, chargers, schoolbooks, locks, athletic uniforms, equipment, etc.  Seniors must pay for such articles before they can participate in senior activities, including graduation ceremonies.  Again, this is an obligation that must be met to participate in Senior Activities. 

 

Graduation Ceremony 

The Enfield High Class of 2025 graduation ceremony will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2025 at 7:00 PM on the Enfield High School athletic field.  In the event of inclement weather, the graduation ceremony will be cancelled with a rain date of the following day until the weather permits an outdoor ceremony.  A decision to postpone graduation will be made by 4:00 PM and announced via email, social media and a robo-call.   

Admission to the ceremony is by wristband only.  Depending on the color wristband you have, seating will be on the turf field or in the bleachers on a first-come, first-served basis. Each graduate will receive 8 turf wristbands and 2 additional wristbands for the bleachers. 

Parking is available at the high school, the Eagle Academy and Enfield Street School.  Parking is also available at St Bernard’s School where a shuttle bus will transport people to and from the high school starting at 4:00 PM.  Parking is not permitted before 4:00 PM and entry onto the field is not permitted until 4:30 PM.  

Noisemakers (including air horns, cowbells and whistles) and signs (including posters and banners) will not be permitted.  The throwing and/or possession of beach balls, balloons, confetti, silly string or other related items are strictly prohibited.  Food and drink are not allowed with the exception of water in clear plastic bottles. While we encourage guests not to bring bags, the only bags that are permissible are clear plastic bags or small clutch purses or wallets no larger than 6.5” x 4.5”. 

Graduating seniors must report to the high school gymnasium no later than 6:00 PM on the evening of graduation.  Questions about graduation and reserving handicap parking and seating may be directed to Gina LaScola at Enfield High School (860-763-8804). 

 

Graduation Photography and ETV 

 

 

Please inform your parents and guests that we will have a professional photographer at graduation.  We ask that guests NOT come forward to take pictures since this might interfere with the photographer. 

Legacy Studios will be providing professional photography coverage for the graduation ceremony.  All graduates will be photographed to capture this historic milestone. 

The images will be posted to Enfield High School's image gallery https://entry.imagequix.com/legacy/ within 7-10 days after the ceremony.

ETV: The graduation ceremony will be televised live on Channel 16 through COX. In addition, we hope to receive a link a couple of weeks before the event for a live stream via YouTube in which we will share with students and families.   

 

Attire for Graduation Ceremonies 

Caps and gowns will be distributed after the first graduation rehearsal.  All students must be dressed appropriately if they expect to participate in the graduation ceremonies. No heels are allowed on the turf, but "wedge" style shoes are permitted. Students are permitted to decorate their graduation caps with written messages using appropriate language 

Caps and gowns should be taken home, pressed, and in some cases, adjusted for length.  When properly fitted they should extend between the calves of the legs and above the ankles.  DO NOT USE A HOT IRON!!!  The caps and gowns are yours to keep. 

Absolutely no silly string allowed due to allergies and expensive damage to turf field. 

 

Graduation Rehearsals 

Every year at graduation, we honor students joining the military.  Any student who commits to one of the military branches should notify their school counselor as soon as possible, but no later than May 31, 2024. 

All seniors who intend to participate in the graduation ceremonies must take part in all rehearsals.  The length of the rehearsals will depend completely on your cooperation.  Students who do not attend all rehearsals may not be allowed to participate in the Commencement Ceremonies. Caps and gowns will be distributed after the Friday, June 13th graduation rehearsal. Graduation rehearsals will be:  

  • Thursday, June 12, 2025: 9:00am - 12:00 pm (meet in the gymnasium) 

  • Friday, June 13, 2025: 9:00am - 12:00pm (meet in the gymnasium)  

  • Monday, June 16, 2025: 9:00am - 12:00pm (meet in the gymnasium)  

  • Tuesday, June 17, 2025:           9:00am - 12:00pm (meet in the gymnasium)

Returning iPad and Charger 

As the academic year comes to a close, we kindly remind you of the upcoming opportunity to return your iPads and chargers. This is a necessary step before receiving your cap and gown for graduation. 

You may return your iPad and charger to Ms. Reyes following your exams, or during rehearsals in the gymnasium from 7:30 AM to 8:45 AM. 

Please note that students will not be eligible to receive their cap and gown until their iPad and charger have been returned.
