STARTING AUGUST 30TH
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH WILL BE
**TEMPORARILY** FREE for All Students.
While the federal waivers that provided free breakfast and lunch during Covid ended at the end of June 2022, recently the STATE OF CT has made available to school districts money named SMART (School Meals Assistance Revenue for Transition) FUNDS, to help families transition back to Paid, Reduced and Free meals. This means that we can continue to offer FREE MEALS to students as long as the funds last. The funding is based on participation so we do not know how long the allocated funds will last.
We can offer FREE meals in September, and hopefully in October.
We will provide at least a month notice to families letting you know when meals will return to Paid, Reduced, and Free meals.
